Ok, first of all, thanks for (finally! :-) all
these positive responses and for the new 'drive'
behind everything....

To everyone eager to test:
If you want BigRedCroc to test on other games,
please beware that BigRedCroc is a SIDEBRANCH of
BigRRed. Only when we (Jeff and me, probably)
will have merged both branches together, you will
get the current state of a general glide-wrapper...
BigRedCroc currently doesn't support W-buffering
for example, since Croc uses Z buffering instead.
W buffering can lead to some problems which are
not entirely solved yet, so for the current
state I disabled the partial W-buffering code in
BigRRed (in its old version that I had), in order
to temporarily simplify and concentrate my work....
However, apart from some special cases, W-buffering
is not a big problem, and can easily be added now.

My suggestion: I will try to release a new,
slightly tuned version of Croc today (including
a source-release), which will have the only
added bonus (apart from (limited) in-window
capabilities) that its logging capabilites are
enhanced and are configurable. So, you will
have a slightly better tool for logging the
calls of any 3dfx game you like.....
From sunday till tuesday evening, I am
on an official journey(??), so nothing will
done by me...
But perhaps over the weekend, we will get
some logging details of other games, and
could then decide which game(s) we will aim at
in the next round.....????

I, once, dreamt of a direct 3dfx vs. V2K
showdown with the well-known, over-hyped (?)
Turok demo. It would be reference game
(see Tom's Hardware, for example)
and you could compare everything with
everything (3dfx Glide vs. 3dfx D3D vs.
V2K Glide-RRedline vs. V2K D3D)....
But actually, I personally don't like TUROK
at all....

A totally new game would be fine of course...
NHL98 could be something interesting...?
